The I-VOL database we use at Volunteer Westmeath has three main functions:

  1. To provide a database of volunteering opportunities for public access.
  2. To gather statistics and information about volunteering. This will help us to ensure that the contribution that volunteering makes to the social economy of our local area is recognised within the policy development of local and national government.
  3. To provide us with information that will help us to continue to develop our service to meet your needs.

Why register your volunteer opportunity with the Volunteer Westmeath?
Your volunteering opportunities will be made available on our website, and to visitors and telephone enquirers at the Volunteer Centre. Our web site is main communication tool and we engage a very high percentage of our volunteer by this method. The web site receives 1,000’s of hits per month and the Volunteer Centre registers about 1,000 volunteers per year.

You will receive regular communication from us relating to good practice in volunteer management. This will include newsletters, information briefing sheets and volunteer management training course information. If you have an e-mail address you will also receive regular information bulletins and information about volunteers offering specific skills or services. It\’s free – There is no charge for promoting your volunteering opportunities and most Volunteer Centre services are free or minimal cost.

Who can register?
Not for profit organisations that involve volunteers in their work, particularly in the County Westmeath area and that adhere to our equal opportunities policy.
Volunteer Westmeath reserves the right not to register or to remove your information from the database.

Organisational Registration
The Organisation Registration Form has two parts. The first part gives us all the information we need for us to be able to provide you with a good service. You will only need to complete it once. Please note information about your funding or general contact details such as phone numbers and e-mail addresses will not appear on our web site www.volunteerwestmeath.ie (If you would like to receive services from Westmeath Volunteer Centre but do not wish to advertise any volunteering opportunities at present you should complete this form only.)

If have any queries about the forms, or the database in general, please do not hesitate to contact us by telephone (044) 934 8571.
